Instead of directly putting the tube of gloss to your lips, it is recommended to add an extra step to ensure less stickiness. Put lip gloss on your fingertips and then pat it onto the flesh of your lips. And this way you will get a little bit of glow, but it would not be too goopy. Also, try a moisturizing lipstick or a lip stain first before you add the gloss to make sure the color stays put.
